Skating

At CFA, the Therapeutic Skating Program offers children a fun and engaging way to develop balance, coordination, and confidence through structured skating activities. Learning to skate provides children with opportunities to practice movement control while enjoying an exciting physical activity.

Under the guidance of trained instructors and therapists, children are gradually introduced to skating through simple and safe steps. Each child learns at their own pace, starting with basic balance and movement exercises before progressing to more coordinated skating activities.

Skating sessions are also used as a platform to strengthen important behavioural skills. Children learn to follow instructions, practice patience, wait for their turn, and complete small activity goals within a structured environment. These experiences help improve focus, persistence, and self-confidence.

The skating program encourages children to challenge themselves, build physical stability, and enjoy the sense of achievement that comes with mastering new skills. Group skating activities also promote social participation and peer interaction.

At CFA, therapeutic skating combines physical movement with structured learning, helping children develop confidence, coordination, and a positive attitude toward active participation.
